10 Reasons To Visit The UK

London is a great place to set out for your next vacation but these events make this destination all the more appealing.

1. Chelsea Flower Show

An annual event this may be, but sees the flower show’s centenary and promises to be the best yet. Running from May 21st to 25th, visitors can expect to see some stunning horticultural displays including the show garden which, after one hundred years, promises to be spectacular.

2. Wimbledon

Andy Murray may not yet be the UK’s tennis darling but he is well on his way. Despite winning an Olympic Gold medal and a Grand Slam title in 2012 he is yet to win a title on home ground so will be going all out for this year’s Wimbledon final. It should be exciting to watch, and takes place from June 24th.

3. Kooza by Cirque du Soleil

The most famous touring circus in the world comes to London from January 5th next year. Kooza tells the story of The Innocent, a melancholy loner searching for a place in the world. A combination of comic characters and amazing acrobatic skills makes this a show not to be missed.

4. The British Grand Prix

Taking place at motor racing capital of the UK Silverstone, this event is top of every Formula One fan’s list of must-see events. This most prestigious event takes place over the three days from the 28th to the 30th of June, with the race itself happening on Sunday 30th.

5. Rugby League World Cup Final

While both semi-finals are to be held at Wembley, London, next year’s Rugby League World Cup Final takes place on November 16th at Old Trafford in Manchester.

6. London Marathon

There are hundreds of good reasons to visit UK at any time of the year, but the London Marathon, which takes place on April 21st, throws another into the mix.

7. Glastonbury/Festivals

The iconic Glastonbury music festival runs through the last weekend in June, but as tickets sold out in a record one hour and forty minutes many were left disappointed.
